Draper has launched three free tools. They are small pages that answer one question each, and they are open to anyone: no account, no email gate, nothing to install. Draper is a start-a-business app, and these are the questions founders ask before there is anything to build.
They are all at draper.chat/tools.
What are the three tools?
Three, and each one is one page:
| Tool | What it asks | What you get back |
|---|---|---|
| Coming up with an idea | Nothing — it interviews you | A few business ideas, and a document |
| Market size | How many people have the problem | What you could make a month |
| Quitting your job | What you need each month | The month your income covers it |
The first one runs in the AI you already use: paste it in and it interviews you about your life, then comes back with a few ideas to choose from. The other two are calculators — put in what you know, read the answer off the page. The figures you type never leave your browser.
Where the tools fit
They settle the arithmetic: how big the market is, when the bills are covered, which idea to start with. What they cannot settle is whether anyone wants the thing, and that is the part that decides everything.
Getting that answer is the work: one promise in front of strangers, read honestly, before you build anything. If you have no idea yet, the idea tool is where to start; once you have two or three candidates, choosing between them is the next decision.
Draper runs the rest of the sequence from there: research and validation, brand, product design, website, and live ads to real strangers. Try Draper free →
