What is the Chairman?

Last updated: 14 August 2026

The Chairman is Draper's open chat: the one conversation that is not attached to a workshop. Use it to ask anything about your business, or about building a business in general. It is trained specifically on turning an idea into a business, and it can read what your workshops have produced.

When to use the Chairman instead of a workshop

The workshops on the path are structured sessions, each with a defined output, done in order. The Chairman is everything that does not fit that shape — the question that comes up mid-week, the thing you are stuck on, the second opinion you want before making a decision.

It is not a general assistant with a business setting turned on. It is built around the specific problem of taking an idea and making it into a business, which is the same problem the path is built around.

Can it see what your workshops produced?

Yes. The Chairman can look at the content your workshops have generated and help you think it through — so you can ask it what a finding means, or work through what to do about one, without repeating the context back to it.

You unlock access to The Chairman once you have completed the Biz Plan workshop.
